The total income of the Ukrainian state enterprise of mail services (UGPPS) “Ukrposhta”  in 2008, approved by the government (Directive #335 of the Cabinet of Ministers dated 27.02.2008 On Approval of the Financial Plan of the UGPPS for 2008”), was planned at the rate of 3497,3 mln. of UAH or 16% more than in 2007. According to the financial plan, the expenses of “Ukrposhta” are forecast at the level of 3455,8 mln. of UAH, which is 15,9% more than in 2007.

Increase in expenses is connected, first of all, with the growth of expenses for remuneration of employees’ labor. The growth of an average monthly salary in 2008 compared to 2007 per one staff member is planned at the level of 31,3% - up to 997,3 UAH. Capital investments of the enterprise are planned at the rate of 102,6 mln. of UAH, in particular, 18,0 mln. of UAH – at the expense of credit resources.

At the same time these resources will be allocated to the following main directions of the development of the enterprise in 2008: automation of production processes – 50,2 mln. of UAH; replacement and installation of technological equipment – 18,2 mln. of UAH; renewal of motor transport for post transportation – 12,2 mln. of UAH; capital construction and modernization of capital assets – 22,0 mln. of UAH.

Transfers to the budgets and state special-purpose funds are planned at the rate of 836,0 mln. of UAH, in particular – it is expected to transfer 126,3 mln. of UAH to the state budget, that is 18,3% more than in 2007.
