Mark Runacus is a Partner and the Planning Director at Hicklin Slade & Partners where he heads up a team of five planners. Mark started his marketing career in retail as a buyer and later as a product manager in white goods. Still client-side, he then moved into business to business marketing, including responsibilities for in-house database marketing activity.
Mark’s first direct marketing agency role was at Payne Stracey (now called Tequila). He joined as an account manager and left five years later as Deputy Managing Director. Mark has also held senior management positions at Carlson, OgilvyOne and RMG Connect. He has worked for a wide range of brands including American Express, BT, British Airways, Camelot, DaimlerChrysler, IBM, Honda, and Nissan. Mark has served twice on the DMA Agency Council Committee and currently sits on the IPA Direct Marketing Futures Group. |
